About the Food Program:

• This program provides nutritious food to families where the mother is pregnant or postpartum (up to 1 year after birth).
• Only Medicaid recipients enrolled in a Managed Care Plan are eligible. (Child Health Plus, Essential plan, Straight Medicaid or any other coverage is not qualified)
• Any family member living in the household (mother, spouse, or children under age 18 may qualify if you are struggling to obtain nutritious food.
• Resides in NYS
• Approval is granted for up to 6 months.
• If the need continues, you may apply for an additional 6 months (until the baby turns 1 year old).

What We Provide:
Eligible families receive equivalent of 3 nutritious meals per day, 7 days a week for each approved household member through prepared ready meals and grocery items adding to prepared meals.
